The more you try to push away something that you fear, the more you give it power to control you. It is indeed ironic but nevertheless that is the reality that many may not seem to understand. Our fears are not separate from us. In fact, they are a part of us. By focusing your attention on pushing it away from you, you are actually directing your energy towards it. To let go of your fears requires you to acknowledge and understand what it really is. Once you got that figured out, it is then time to work out a solution to deal with it. Do not procrastinate, no matter how tempted you are to do so. It is like a drug, that makes you feel good for a while then making you wanting more but not really do anything substantial to better the situation that you are in. Just remember that your solution might not be the perfect one, but as long as it is the best that you can come up with at that point in time, that should be good enough.
