Take a moment and breathe. As you go about figuring yourself out and finding where you fit in the bigger scheme of things, you will hear many well meaning suggestions, even from your own thoughts. To do this or that. To follow this route and not that. To be more like that amazing person and at the same time, less of yourself. The pressure is clearly on. It helps if you have a great support system around you that allows you to find what is best for you. But if you do not have that, then you will do well to aspire to be the best version of yourself. That means not giving yourself a pass when you missed a workout or ate more than you should, or coasting on your comfort zone and not pushing it further. In other words, hold yourself to a higher standard. I am sure you have an idea of what is “best” for you. Make that clear to yourself by writing it down and reviewing it in the very least, daily. The more times you do it, the better. That is your standard. Keep working till you are there. And when you have finally reached it, the work continues. Maintain that standard. Or raise it up.
