Often times we focus our energy on things that we deemed more important than our own self. We take pride in our work and the lives that it positively affects. Whenever asked about our own self care, some either sheepishly admit that they ought to take some time out or give the excuse of the absence of available time, to which I respectfully disagree. I believe that how we spend our time reflects our priorities. And if something is just ‘good to have’, it does not qualify as such. It is highly encouraged to regularly check in with your self and see that its needs are met. But then again, be honest with yourself. What are your priorities? Because if it is so, you will make time for it.
