If It Is Broken, You Better Fix It

Just because it has been that way a long time, doesn’t mean it should continue to do so. Especially if it hasn’t been working well. People like to talk about change. How they would do things different if given the chance. But when they actually are given the chance, they cite the status quo and business as usual as some of the reasons for not being able to deliver on their promises. That is not how it ought to be. If something clearly does not work, you better change it fast. Do whatever you have to. Get creative. Think outside of the box. If you don’t, you are just waiting for the problem to explode. And when that happens, however large the amount of guilt and remorse would not suffice.
