“Fool Me Once, Shame On You. Fool Me Twice, Shame On Me.”

Sometimes you get fooled. And it never is a good thing. It will leave a bitter taste that might just never go away. In the event it does, you forgive and let live. But what happens when you get played the same way or similarly time and time again? Sorry to break it to you, but this one is on you. Remember this simple fact, as much as you hope that somebody is a changed person, in the end, it is up to that person whether it occurs or not. Likewise in your own case. No one can make you change your ways unless you want to. And that applies to everyone else. They say that trust when broken can never really be mended. Perhaps there is some truth to that. The responsibility is for the person who has broken it in the first place to make up for it. And if you were the victim, you have every right to make sure that the person do so. Don’t feel bad for it. You have every right to take care of you.
