When making decisions or taking action, there is no doubt that a certain amount of gut feel/instinct helps. However, that is not the case when you think. A thinking process should be as neutral as possible and it sure is hard to do so when your heart is involved. It does require a lot of practise and patience but it will certainly help you in making better and informed decisions. If you manage to do that due process well, your gut feel/instinct will then become a more reliable guide.
