Deal With What Is, Without Exaggeration

The phrase ‘make a mountain out of a molehill’ cannot be more apt here. As humans, we long for affection and attention. And the easiest way to get that is to tell a big enough story. So when our story is not ‘big’ enough, we exaggerate it a little to make it worth listening. This poor habit unfortunately works against us more than it does us good. You see, when faced with a problem, some parts due to our poor habit, we tend to see it more than it actually is. A genuinely simple problem or misunderstanding could become a full blown riot, all because emotions and assumptions are involved and facts are basically disregarded. So the next time, you want to relay a problem to someone or your own self for that matter, say it as it is and deal with it as it is.
